On Friday, August 28, the community of Colegio Bicentenario de Excelencia San Alberto Hurtado experienced a day of profound spiritual celebration. At the San José Parish of Constitución, 27 students and 11 parents from our institution freely and consciously reaffirmed their faith by receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.

This meaningful milestone represents the culmination of nearly a year and a half of intensive catechetical preparation, a period in which young people and adults traveled a path of prayer, formation, and fraternity. Accompanied by their sponsors, families, teachers, and members of the educational community, those being confirmed experienced the warmth and support of a Church that welcomes them with jubilation.

The Solemn Eucharist was presided over by our Diocesan Bishop, Monsignor Tomislav Koljatic. Minutes before beginning the liturgy, Monsignor held a private, intimate meeting with the Confirmation group. In this space of dialogue, the bishop reminded them of the valuable mission they assume from this moment on, emphasizing the active and transformative role they are called to play in the Church and in society as they are sent forth as witnesses of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

For our institution, seeing students and parents take this step together strengthens the alliance between school and family, consolidating our educational project founded on love for neighbor and Gospel values.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the 38 newly confirmed and their families, entrusting their Christian journey to the protection of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the example of our Patron Saint, Saint Alberto Hurtado.
