13th Social Doctrine of the Church Congress inspired by the Apostolic Exhortation Dilexi Te

The Municipal Theater of Constitución dressed up on Thursday, August 27, to host the 13th edition of the Social Doctrine of the Church Congress, an academic and pastoral milestone that centered its reflections this year on Pope Leo XIV’s apostolic exhortation, Dilexi Te.

Our school, Colegio Bicentenario de Excelencia San Alberto Hurtado, had the honor of once again hosting this important gathering, welcoming delegations from the four educational communities belonging to the Educational Foundations of the Bishopric of Linares:

• Liceo Bicentenario San José (San Javier)

• Liceo Bicentenario Colegio San Miguel Arcángel (Linares)

• Liceo Bicentenario Inmaculada Concepción (Cauquenes)

• Colegio Bicentenario de Excelencia San Alberto Hurtado (Constitución)

This congress has established itself as a valuable space of communion where students, staff, families, and the broader community gather to share the fruits of Christian social discernment. Utilizing the See, Judge, and Act methodology, the communities presented how they discover and cross-cuttingly apply Gospel values in daily life, aligning with the Pope’s call in his exhortation. Beyond an academic event, the congress was a vital demonstration of embodied faith and social commitment.

The day stood out for its emotional depth and artistic displays. Accompanied by their teachers, students from all four institutions showcased immense talent on stage, translating the Holy Father's teachings into performances and cultural expressions of profound beauty and meaning.

The meeting was honored by the distinguished presence of our Diocesan Bishop, Monsignor Tomislav Koljatic, alongside members of the central leadership team of the Bishopric of Linares Schools: Mr. Rodrigo Barrera (Legal Representative of the Foundations), Mrs. Tatiana Rebolledo (Director of Administration and Finance), and Mrs. Zuly Ramírez (Director of Educational Improvement). Executive leadership teams from all four participating institutions were also in attendance.

Most notably, the day was enriched by the keynote address and guidance of Dr. Juan Pablo Faúndez, President of the International Academic Council of the Academy of Catholic Leaders.

We sincerely thank all delegations, organizers, and attendees for making this 13th Congress a true testimony of fraternity and service in light of the Social Doctrine of the Church.
