In an atmosphere of deep joy and family devotion, ten students from our institution took a decisive step in their faith journey by receiving the Sacrament of First Communion this Sunday, August 16.

The Solemn Eucharist was celebrated at the San José Parish of Constitución and was presided over by the city's parish priest and our school chaplain, Father Gonzalo Aravena. The young students were accompanied by their families, classmates, friends, teachers, and our Principal, Mrs. Marcela Lillo, who all joined in prayer to share this meaningful community moment.

The students who experienced this encounter with the Sacrament of the Eucharist are:

  • Julieta González Cruz (4th Grade B / IV° B)

  • Isidora Daniela Gutiérrez Burboa (4th Grade B / IV° B)

  • Agustín Alonso Vigueras Valderrama (4th Grade B / IV° B)

  • Claudia Victoria Díaz Díaz (4th Grade A / IV° A)

  • Gonzalo Alejandro Barba Reyes (4th Grade C / IV° C)

  • Diego Alonso Tapia Chamorro (4th Grade C / IV° C)

  • Benjamín Aquiles Flores Rojas (4th Grade C / IV° C)

  • Martín Alonso Garrido Vásquez (2nd Grade C / II° C)

  • Dilan Arón Vidal Valdés (2nd Grade C / II° C)

  • Monserrat Belén Martínez Riquelme (2nd Grade A / II° A)

All of them are part of the 2nd-year Confirmation preparation group, making this First Communion a fundamental milestone in the final stage of their catechesis. With hearts prepared and strengthened by the Eucharist, this group of young people is now getting ready to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation next Friday, August 28.

We warmly congratulate our students and their families on this important spiritual step, entrusting their faith journey to the protection of Saint Alberto Hurtado.
