Strengthening Vocational Guidance: Officer Cadets Visit Our Senior Class

As part of Colegio Bicentenario de Excelencia San Alberto Hurtado's commitment to the comprehensive development of its students, last Monday, July 6, our senior students (IV° Medio) participated in an enriching vocational guidance session alongside three Officer Cadets from Carabineros de Chile during their Orientation class.

The activity featured representatives from the Law Enforcement and Security (Orden y Seguridad) as well as Intendance (Intendencia) branches. They shared relevant information regarding the admission process, application requirements, and the professional growth opportunities offered by a career in the institution. Additionally, they shared their personal experiences, offering insight into life inside the Officers' Academy during their training period.

One of the most meaningful moments of the event was the participation of Ignacio Valdés, an alumnus from the Class of 2023, who returned to his alma mater to share his journey as an Officer Cadet with the younger generations. His testimony allowed our students to understand—from a close and relatable perspective—the challenges, lessons, and values involved in choosing a career dedicated to serving the country.

Events like this reinforce our school's commitment to vocational guidance, equipping students with tools and information that enable them to explore diverse paths and plan their futures with confidence and clarity. Through these experiences, we aim to support them in building their life projects, fostering informed decision-making aligned with their interests, skills, and aspirations.
